Learning
This term Year 8s have been learning about wildfires as part of a 'Risky World' topic in Geography. After learning about the causes, effects and solutions to wildfires their assessment was to prepare a speech setting out how they would manage wildfires if they were the Prime Minister of New Zealand. Working in pairs students in 8BB delivered their speeches confidently and peer reviewed each others' work sharing 'what went well' comments with their peers. Not only did the class demonstrate some excellent geographical knowledge, they showed real resilience and bravery standing up in front of the class and speaking publicly.
