Our year 12 Geographers explored the unique glacial landforms of the Easedale valley today, the melting snow gave created some turbulent, cascading waterfalls as we climbed through the hanging valleys. The noise was only matched by the low flying jet fighters from the RAF. They identified and collected data on glacial landforms including U shaped valleys, Roche moutonnee, hanging valleys, corries, tarns and striations. The hike was challenging but the fabulous view from the tarn was worth the hard work. The team work enabled them to overcome challenging conditions with ice under foot, flooded paths and steep ascents, but their self discipline and steely determination saw them through.
