On Thursday, 6th March, St Benet Biscop celebrated World Book Day with a special visit from local author Dan Smith. Students had the exciting opportunity to hear firsthand about his journey as a writer, gaining insight into the inspirations behind his thrilling novels.
Many students left the session feeling truly inspired, keen to explore Dan’s novels and immerse themselves in his gripping stories. To support this enthusiasm, our school library has added a collection of 20 of Dan’s books, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to enjoy his work.
World Book Day is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the joy of reading, and this year’s event was a great success. A huge thank you to Dan Smith for sharing his experiences and inspiring the next generation of readers and writers at St Benet Biscop!
