This week KS3 students observed Safer Internet Day with the theme "Too Good to Be True? Protecting Yourself and Others from Scams Online." The event aimed to educate students about online scams and promote safe internet practices. Throughout the week, students engaged in discussions, role-playing activities, and storytelling to understand the nature of online scams and how to protect themselves. They learned the three key steps to stay safe online:
1.Spot it: Recognize unusual or suspicious online content, such as unexpected prizes or messages from unknown sources.
2.Avoid it: Refrain from clicking on unfamiliar links, opening unsolicited messages, or sharing personal information with untrusted sources.
3.Report it: Inform a trusted adult immediately if something online feels wrong or suspicious.
